Hey there
I’m Michelle , or as most people know me, One Hungry Mumma.
If you’ve found your way here, it means you’ve got your hands on one of our Mumma’s Secret Stash boxes, and that makes you part of something pretty special.
This little “stash” began as a way to share my passion for creating small batch condiments, pickles, sauces, and spice blends made right here in Finch Hatton, QLD, using as much local produce as possible.
For the past nine years, I’ve been crafting and selling my award-winning range of One Hungry Mumma products, all made by hand, in small batches, with love (and a good dose of local flavour). But I wanted to take things one step further.
That’s where Mumma’s Secret Stash was born. A place where I can get a little creative and make seasonal, one-off products you won’t find anywhere else. Each box is designed to surprise and delight, with exclusive goodies made from what’s fresh, local, and inspiring me in the kitchen right now.
Each product tells a story , of our region, our growers, and the joy of homemade goodness. But more than that, it’s about connection.
Food connects us, to memories, to people, to place. Whether it’s the smell of something simmering away on the stove or the joy of discovering a new favourite flavour, I want this box to bring that same spark to your kitchen.
So each stash will be a little surprise, something seasonal, something handcrafted, and always something made with heart (and maybe a dash of mischief).
From my kitchen to yours
Thank you for supporting small, local, and handmade. It means the world to me, and it keeps the stove on for the next delicious idea bubbling away in my kitchen.

Recipe of the month - Orange and Kaffir lime glaze
Citrus Meets Creativity
With an abundance of oranges and mandarins hanging heavy on our family trees (and my favourite kaffir lime leaves just begging to be used), I couldn’t resist a little kitchen experimenting. I adore citrus — the brightness, the zing, the way it can lift almost anything — and kaffir lime just takes it to another level.
Originally, I set out to make a jam… but let’s just say batch one was not a roaring success. (Not enough pectin, I think!) Still, from that “oops” moment came something unexpectedly wonderful — a glossy, citrusy concoction that turned out to be the perfect glaze.
Over the next few months, I tested it on just about everything: beef ribs, pork ribs, chicken wings, lamb — if it could be glazed, it got glazed! I splashed in lime juice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, chilli, ginger, garlic, and a few mystery bottles from the back of the pantry. Each time, it brought that sweet, tangy, slightly exotic flavour that makes you want to lick the spoon.
So, I’ve popped together my favourite combination below to get you started — but please, make it your own! Play around with flavours, swap sauces, add herbs, use it as a marinade, baste it over roast veggies, or drizzle it on a salad.
Cooking should be a bit like jazz — improvise, taste, and have fun with it.
ORANGE AND LIME GLAZED CHICKEN WINGS
2kg chicken wings (I prefer to cut them into 3 and discard the tip to use for stock)
1/2 jar of Orange and Kaffir lime glaze (cut down if you prefer less sweetness)
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 garlic cloves (crushed)
small piece of ginger approx 20 mm (crushed)
1 red cayenne chilli (deseeded for less heat if required)
Mix all ingredients together and marinate chicken wings for 24 hours (if possible)
Cook wings on a bbq, charcoal bbq or in the oven at 180 degrees for approx 40 minutes or until a little caramelized and cooked through. While cooking make sure to drizzle the sauce over the top of the wings a few times.
Recipe idea - Sweet crunch dukkah
Dessert Dream: Vanilla Panna Cotta with Sweet Crunch Dukkah and Mango Purée
Make a creamy vanilla panna cotta. Serve with a vibrant mango or passionfruit purée, then scatter the Sweet Crunch Dukkah on top just before serving for a nutty, coconutty crunch.
Optional twist: drizzle with a little kaffir lime syrup for a flavour crossover!
Breakfast Bliss: Coconut Yoghurt Parfait with Sweet Crunch Dukkah
Perfect for: a fresh, tropical start to the day.
Layer coconut yoghurt with roasted or caramelised pineapple, drizzle with honey or lime syrup, and sprinkle your Sweet Crunch Dukkah generously over each layer. Finish with mint leaves and toasted coconut.
Until next time,
Michelle x
